Tips for Choosing Wedding Venue

Choosing a perfect wedding venue is the main issue that preoccupies the minds of the bride and the groom. A perfect wedding venue will definitely make your wedding a dream wedding and an unforgettable experience for the guests. Follow these easy steps to choose the perfect wedding venue.

First of all, you need to consider which season you wish to get married in. Do you want it to be a summer, fall, winner or spring wedding? There are multiple venues for every season, so do not feel limited by the date you choose.
Second, know how many guests are invited to your wedding. Just take the total amount of your wedding invitations and plan accordingly. You must make enough space for your guests to share your wedding day.
Third, you should consider your wedding budget. There is a direct correlation between the size and the cost of a wedding. Keep your feet planted firmly in the real world as you plan your celebration. Discuss the budget initially between yourselves and then with both sides of the family before you begin searching for the ideal wedding venue.
And last, decide your wedding style for wedding venue. Different venues can suit different wedding styles, for instance a grand country hotel would suit a formal wedding, whilst a beach front restaurant would suit something smaller and less formal. For a small wedding you should look at venues with rooms which will create an intimate atmosphere – vast halls and ballrooms for a reception for 30 guests will feel empty and uninviting.

Guidelines to Choosing the Perfect Bridal Jewelry Set

Most brides choose to wear a bridal jewelry set as an accent to their wedding attire. A bridal jewelry set includes a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet. Bridal jewelry is a key component to a bride's wedding attire. Choosing the wrong bridal jewelry can make even the most beautiful wedding gown look less attractive. When choosing an appropriate bridal jewelry set, the bride should follow three guidelines. These guidelines include affordability, quality, and style.

Affordability is equally as important as quality and style. Every bride should set a budget for her wedding attire and remain within that budget. It is best to go shopping at a store or with an online dealer, which sells bridal jewelry within the intended budget. Stay away from stores that will not satisfy the predetermined budget. This will only add more stress to an anxious bride. Keep in mind, that there are affordable stores that specialize in bridal jewelry.

Quality should never be compromised when it comes to bridal jewelry. The quality of the bridal jewelry should reflect the quality of the bridal gown. However, do not confuse quality with cost. When searching for quality bridal jewelry, look for jewelry that is well made, durable, and attractive.

Style is an essential element to include when choosing a bridal jewelry set. Keep in mind that the bridal jewelry should not overpower or understate the wedding gown. It should undoubtedly accentuate the bridal gown. The bridal jewelry set should fall in line with the common theme of the wedding attire. If the wedding gown is garnished with pearls and silver accents then pearl bridal jewelry would be a great choice. Most importantly, the bridal jewelry set should reflect the bride's personal style.

Lilac and Lime Weddings

Purple-and-Lime was one of the very first "wow" and daring combinations to really grip the world back in the 90s and it seems the trend hasn't faded since. Or perhaps it has. With the return of vintage fashion and trends, colours have become more faded and soft, and the purple lime combination is no exception.

This breathtaking combination of soft lilac and lime is lovely, elegant and ultra feminine without emasculating the groom. A colour scheme like this is ideal for an evening wedding especially when replacing the soft lilac with a deeper shade though it's even more perfect for a light and autumn morning affair.

At first you might scratch your head when you start brainstorming lilac and lime elements. However the theme is a little deceiving and you'll find that, once you start looking, there are ample elements out there that will simply take your breath away.

1 Let's start with the simplest lilac lime combination: The flowers. Use lavender, purple tulips, orchids, roses, freesia, hydrangeas or purple delphiniums and combine it with soft lime leaves.

2 Create a whimsical candy table consisting of lime and lilac candy, or all lilac candy with lime containers.

3 Choose a combination of lime and lilac accessories for the groom and grooms men. Braces, socks and bow ties and pair it with a soft grey or beige suit or no jacket at all.

4 Add simple touches of lilac and lime to your wedding dress. For instance if you're carrying an all lilac bouquet, add lime details to your gown or rock a pair of lime coloured heels.

Beautiful Bridal Veils for You to Choose

If it will soon be your big day and your wedding dress is going to be the center of attention, but while you're running around to fittings, don't forget to pay attention to your hair! Adding a fun accessory to your wedding hairstyle can take your wedding look to the next level. There are many different types of beautiful bridal veils that you can wear on your wedding day.
Chapel veils are formal veils that are made up of two long layers of material, one to cover the your face, and the other floor length layer, to be worn behind your head.

Similar to the chapel veil is the cathedral veil, which also consists of two layers of material, one that is three meters long from the headpiece, and the other, that extends to the floor.

The waltz veil is another formal styled bridal veil that is made of a single material layer. Depending on the length of your gown, you can choose from different lengths of waltz veils, with the shortest veils coming to the knees, whilst the longest veils extend to the floor.

Less formal than the chapel, cathedral and waltz veils are the flyaway bridal veils. These are made of many layers of material that are short and come to your shoulders. You can wear them with simple wedding gowns that are of floor length or shorter.

DIY Your Own Wedding Bouquet

When I started planning our wedding I knew right away that I wanted to make my own flowers. I love creative flower arrangements. I wanted something different. I also knew that if we chose not to hire a florist that we'd save thousands of dollars. What I didn't know was how much fun I would have with my bridesmaids making our bouquets. It was so so much fun and didn't take much time at all.

Step 1: Collect Supplies. For my wedding bouquets I used fresh flowers, handmade velvet flowers, berry twigs, feather birds, feathers and vintage brooches. I also used some family heirloom ribbon and velvet ribbon that I found the first month we were dating! Choose accents that are personal to you!

Step 2: Start from the center and build the floral base of your bouquet. Work your way out by adding more and more flowers.

Step 3: Wrap the stems with floral tape. Use as much as you need to make it feel secure. The floral tape should go where ever you plan to wrap the ribbon. The ribbon will eventually hide it completely!

Step 4: Add accent piece such as feather birds or feathers.

Step 5: Wrap the base of your stems with a pretty ribbon. I also tied some lace on mine as an accent.

Ta-Da! Here's a finished bouquet.

Choose A Blue Evening Dresses

Since the autumn is coming, there is more and more parties held in the evening, and we may be invited to take part in different evening parties. Because the weather is cool down but not cold, so it is the best time to hold evening parties. And we have to dress the suitable evening dress while our friends invite us to take part in their parities. The blue evening dress is the most popular evening dress since the 20th century.

The evening party has more than 100 years history, but there are only few kinds we can choose, such as black, white, red, navy blue evening dresses and so on. Different kinds of your evening dresses can show your different images to others. For example, white evening dress can show your quietness, purity and it's also the symbol of women's tastefully lily-white quality. The red evening dresses will make you full of enthusiasm and show your enchant. The royal blue evening dresses are the dresses which can show your cold, mystery, noble, and it also can get more attention from others for you.

If you are wearing the blue evening dresses for women, and add few accessories, others will feel you are not only a sexy women, but also very lovely and attractive. As a result, you will be more popular than other women who do not dress the blue evening dress. And if you dress the blue color, you may also wear a cape that is outside the mainstream, or take a black handbag, and all of them can highlight your blue evening dress, show your special temperament.

So in my opinion, if you have an idea about the dress in the evening parties, the light blue evening dresses will be your best choice.

Wedding Thank You Card

Your friends and family chose your wedding gifts with care, so you need to send appropriate thank-you notes. Whether you're thanking someone for a gift or just being there when you needed a friend, a thank you card send just the right message to show your gratitude. You can purchase manufactured and printed thank you cards from stationary supply or retail stores, but store-bought thank cards aren't your only options these days. The only thing limiting your thank you card is your imagination.

Create thank-you cards that are supremely reflective of you and your spouse by having photo thank-you cards printed. As soon as your wedding images arrive back from the photographer, have them printed into wedding thank-you cards and use these personalized cards to house your notes of appreciation. Before having these cards printed, ensure that you are legally allowed to do so by securing reprint rights for the images in question.

If you are imaginative and good at crafts, you can make your own thank-you notes. Handmade thank-you notes feel particularly at home for a wedding that you planned and designed yourself.

Creative Wedding Gift Ideas

You want to give a special wedding gift but you have no idea what to buy. You want something practical yet thoughtful and something personal that the newly married couple will appreciate. Here are some tips on how to come up with perfect bridal shower gifts or wedding gifts.

Holiday Decorations
This is somehow a wedding gift that is rarely given. But think about it, this gift is certainly going to be appreciated since most newly married couples don't have a stockpile of holiday trimmings yet. So they may be looking for items for the holidays but thanks to you, they will be a step ahead.

Money
I know, money is so impersonal. However, on the receiving end it is usually much appreciated. Weddings are expensive so anything that will help offset some of the costs will help tremendously. Another benefit to giving money, whether in the form of cash or gift cards, is that the couple can select exactly what they want instead of getting something that might not have been their first choice. If you decide to give cash or a gift card, make sure you personalize the bride gift by wrapping it beautifully or buying a small gift to give alongside it.

A Lasting or Utilitarian Gift
Whether it is a bottle of wine or a wonderful picture frame, you want to give a gift that would stand the test of time. Many years from know, you want them to remember that you gave it to them so make sure this gift is quality enough to age well. A bottle of wine that will hold many family meals is another example of a lasting bride gift.

Top Four Trends for Fall Bridal Dresses

This year's Fall bridal market in New York City, which ran from Oct. 12 to 15, was full of surprises. From an all white collection at Vera Wang to the ultra-short flapper-inspired dresses on the Reem Acra runway, to Venetian Carnevale masks at Ines DiSanto, we noticed a few recurring themes. To help you prep for your big day shopping trips, we put together this list of the top four trends from the Fall 2012 Bridal Dresses.

Illusion Necklines
One of the hottest trends on the Fall 2012 runways was the illusion neckline. This silhouette has the feel of a strapless gown, but provides a bit more coverage for the bride.

Sleeves
It's unlikely that sleeves -- especially in the Fall -- will be disappearing from the bridal runways any time soon. This season, many couture designers showed long sleeves in their collections. Some gowns took inspiration directly from Duchess Kate while others gowns took the trend to new places.

Lace Overlays
The Fall 2012 collections prove that the lace trend isn't slowing down any time soon. This season, designers featured lace as a layer on top of other fabrics, lending volume and dimension to the gowns.

Hints Of Color
While seasons past have featured deep reds and flowered gowns, designers took a more subtle approach to color in their Fall 2012 collections.

Choose A Flower Girl Dress for Your Wedding

A flower girl is usually a young girl between the ages of 4 and 8 who has a special connection to the bride and groom. Perhaps she is a niece or cousin, or a family friend. She follows behind the bridesmaids with a basket of flowers, scattering them down the aisle.

For some of you, the choice will be obvious. Others may have to worry about choosing between several possible candidates. There's no reason why you can't have two or even three flower girls. It will add to their confidence and ups the cuteness quotient. Avoid choosing someone who is too young. She will be confused and perhaps scared. An older girl may be more suited for a job such as reader, or junior bridesmaid. If your only choices are unsuitable or not that close to you, there is no reason why you have to have a flower girl.

Often, a flower girl is dressed in a mini-version of the bride's dress, or a white dress with a sash that matches the bridesmaid's dresses. But you can choose any sweet dress that ties into the look of the wedding. Make sure it's comfortable and not too long, so that she won't be pulling at her dress or tripping down the aisle. If your flower girl doesn't like dresses, choose a pants outfit with the same level of formality as the bridesmaid dresses.
