Top Four Trends for Fall Bridal Dresses

This year's Fall bridal market in New York City, which ran from Oct. 12 to 15, was full of surprises. From an all white collection at Vera Wang to the ultra-short flapper-inspired dresses on the Reem Acra runway, to Venetian Carnevale masks at Ines DiSanto, we noticed a few recurring themes. To help you prep for your big day shopping trips, we put together this list of the top four trends from the Fall 2012 Bridal Dresses.

Illusion Necklines
One of the hottest trends on the Fall 2012 runways was the illusion neckline. This silhouette has the feel of a strapless gown, but provides a bit more coverage for the bride.

Sleeves
It's unlikely that sleeves -- especially in the Fall -- will be disappearing from the bridal runways any time soon. This season, many couture designers showed long sleeves in their collections. Some gowns took inspiration directly from Duchess Kate while others gowns took the trend to new places.

Lace Overlays
The Fall 2012 collections prove that the lace trend isn't slowing down any time soon. This season, designers featured lace as a layer on top of other fabrics, lending volume and dimension to the gowns.

Hints Of Color
While seasons past have featured deep reds and flowered gowns, designers took a more subtle approach to color in their Fall 2012 collections.
